My PDF says no text could be read

The app reads text PDFs, like slides exported from Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides. A scanned page is a picture of text, which it can’t read. Paste the text instead, or export the PDF again from the original file. Up to 30 pages and 15 MB per file, three sources per project.

The free brief says my notes are too long

The free brief takes one source of up to 5,000 words. A practice pack’s briefs take up to 20,000 words from three sources. You can also trim the notes to the part you’re presenting.

Recording doesn’t start

Open iOS Settings › Say It Back and turn on Microphone and Speech Recognition. You can always type your answer instead. Recording pauses when a call comes in, another app takes the microphone or you leave the app; what you said up to then is kept.

The transcript got my words wrong

Fix it before tapping “Looks right, get feedback”: feedback is based on the text you approve. After feedback, “Correct the transcript and recheck” gives each answer one recheck at no cost. The first time you record, iPhones on iOS 26 or later download Apple’s English speech model once; after that, transcription works offline.

Feedback seems wrong

Tap “This feedback is wrong” under a point to mark it covered, not needed, or unclear. Your correction sits beside the check and counts in your progress; the original stays in your history. “Not in this answer” only means a listener wouldn’t have heard it this time.

Offline

Projects, practice rounds, recording, transcription and cue cards work offline. Answers wait on the phone and are checked when you’re back online. Creating a project and building a brief need a connection.

Credits and packs

Every Apple Account starts with one free brief and three rounds of feedback. A practice pack adds 30 rounds and 3 briefs; packs add up and stay with your Apple Account on all your devices. A round that fails to get feedback doesn’t use a credit. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting your data

Settings › Delete my data deletes every project, transcript and piece of feedback from our server, your device and recordings on this phone. See Privacy.
